Adaptive Firearms Institute is a private training facility.
We do not offer public range access, day passes, sight-in services, or recreational shooting. Access is limited to registered AFI students, private training clients, government agency personnel, and authorized guests attending scheduled training events.

Please do not arrive without a scheduled class, private lesson, or prior authorization. Unscheduled visitors will be denied entry.

⚠️ GPS will often take students WAY beyond the "Y" in the road and past the training area. Please follow the directions and reference photos below carefully.

Driving Directions To Pinal Airpark

Use the directions below to arrive at the Pinal County Airpark entrance.

From Tucson

  1. Head west on I-10.
  2. Take Exit 232 (Pinal Air Park Rd).
  3. Continue on Pinal Air Park Rd.
  4. Pass the Pinal County Airpark welcome signs.
  5. Continue to the “Y” in the road.

From Phoenix

  1. Head east on I-10.
  2. Take Exit 232 (Pinal Air Park Rd).
  3. Continue on Pinal Air Park Rd.
  4. Pass the Pinal County Airpark welcome signs.
  5. Continue to the “Y” in the road.

Step 1 – Drive To Pinal Airpark

Continue on Pinal Air Park Rd until you pass through the Pinal County Airpark welcome signs.

Preferred Option – Wait For Escort

After passing the welcome signs, you will come to a “Y” in the road.

Park in the dirt area BEFORE the “Y” and wait for an escort vehicle. An AFI escort will normally arrive approximately 5 minutes prior to class start time.

Option 2 – Drive Directly To The Range

Familiar with the route? You may continue directly to the range yourself.

  1. Turn RIGHT at the “Y” in the road.
  2. Continue approximately 1 mile.
  3. You will come to a STOP sign.
  4. Looking straight ahead a couple hundred yards away, you will see the fenced AFI Range area and red range flag.
  5. Continue straight while veering slightly RIGHT and follow the road into the fenced training area.
