Adaptive Carbine 2 - Intermediate Rifle Skills & Tactical Movement

5-Hour Course for Shooters Ready to Push Beyond the Basics

If you’ve laid the groundwork in Carbine 1, Adaptive Carbine 2 is where your rifle skills get tested, refined, and elevated.
This 5-hour intermediate course is designed for experienced carbine shooters ready to sharpen their accuracy, speed, and real-world adaptability through structured, pressure-driven training.

You’ll move from static reps to problem-solving under stress—integrating movement, cover, vehicles, and support-side manipulation into your skillset.


📋 Course Overview

Duration: 5 hours (single-day format)
Class Size: Limited to 16 students for maximum instructor feedback
Start: Begins with the MMEESS Brief (Mindset, Medical, Emergency, Environment, Safety, Schedule), setting the tone for safe, focused performance in dynamic conditions


🎯 What You’ll Learn

• Gear setup and practical carry adjustments
Zeroing refinements: sight offset, bullet drop, zero types
• Advanced grip, recoil control, and body positioning under pressure
• Speed vs. tactical reloads with repetition-based coaching
• Malfunction drills, including support-side clearing techniques
• Target transitions using iron sights, optics, and “tube shooting”
• Barricade shooting, lateral shifts, and off-line-of-attack movement
• Positional work: standing, kneeling, prone, squatting under stress
• Shoulder transitions: left/right shoulder engagement
• Pistol transitions
Engagement from around vehicles
• Drills designed to build efficiency, visual tracking, and tactical awareness


🎒 Required Equipment

Functional carbine (5.56, 5.45, 300 BLK, 7.62×39, 7.62×51)
Minimum 400 rifle rounds
100 handgun rounds (recommended for optional transition work)
At least 4 magazines
• Sling, belt/chest mounted mag pouches
• Eye and E ar protection
• Water, Snacks and weather-appropriate clothing
• Tools/lube for quick fixes
Optional but Highly Recommended: Gloves, knee pads, backup rifle

• Movement-centric drills that combine accuracy, mechanics, and real-world realism
• Scenarios simulate cover usage, vehicle entry/exit, and positional transitions
